The 2019 Easter Sunday attacks on innocent church goers in Sri Lanka sent ripples of distress throughout the world. At the time, we appealed to our faithful Ambassadors for Missio to help where they could, and to pray for peace in this country broken by hatred.

Through Missio, you responded with love and charity: practical and spiritual help was provided to orphaned children whose parents had been killed, and a Memorial Chapel was constructed. The Catholic community in Sri Lanka will be forever grateful for your solidarity.

Fr Tony received a request from our National Director in Colombo, Fr Basil, to write a letter which would be read aloud at the blessing of the Memorial Chapel. The Chapel that you helped to build.
