Educational Materials Developer (Primary)

Missio ignites God’s love by helping local missionaries to work alongside global communities that are poor or in need, regardless of their background or belief. We work with some of the poorest communities in the world to create a vibrant Catholic Church for the future.

Through our children’s branch, Mission Together, we have developed an excellent suite of educational materials to help Primary age range children engage in this wonderful work and want to extend the range and professionalism of materials we make available to schools to include support for developing and delivering lessons aligned to the RE curriculum, assemblies, and prayer services

We are seeking to build a community of contributors who can work in partnership with our core education team to help us develop high-quality education materials. The work will be assigned on an adhoc basis in agreement with you, so that you only need undertake the amount of work that you are comfortable with. You will likely be an existing or former education professional or writer who has a good understanding of mission theology in the context of communicating the joy of the Gospel to primary age children. We will help you ensure materials carry Missio’s distinctive ‘tone of voice’.

If you are interested in helping us with this work, you are invited to have an initial discussion with Claire Colleran (Education Outreach) to talk about the project in more detail, the level of commitment you would be comfortable with, and the experience you bring. You can also download the job description below.

We anticipate that the work will be undertaken at home and will be paid at a daily rate based upon the anticipated no of days a piece of work will take. It may require occasional travel to Missio’s London office.

Pay rate: £25 per hour
