Create a vibrant Catholic Church for tomorrow

‘I am so grateful to our Church for helping me find real purpose to my life. I would like to help lay those foundations for the future. A gift in my Will to Missio is the perfect way to do that, and to ensure others in the future may also find their way home to God.’ Paul, Newport (Legacy Donor)

Writing a Will is a very personal thing. It allows us to provide for our loved ones, our friends and family, and to continue to support the causes we have been passionate about during our lifetime. It can also be the time when we consider our own personal legacy; the impact for good our life has made and how we might be remembered by future generations.

One out of every four people helped by Missio today is funded by legacy donations

Your decision to support Missio with a gift in your Will today will enable us to continue to create a vibrant Catholic Church for tomorrow. Click here to download Missio’s Legacy Booklet.

You will be leaving the legacy of a better future for those members of our global Catholic family who are poor and in need. Together, through your generosity and our commitment to the highest levels of accountability, we can continue to train Priests and Sisters, bring hope to the world’s poorest children, and help young churches to grow and flourish in the developing world.

Missio’s work is funded entirely through the generosity of Catholics like you and, today more than ever, we depend on that support to help us to pass on the gift of faith to future generations.

We would be happy to send you our Legacy Booklet, with no obligation, or alternatively you can download it by clicking here.

The booklet includes examples of how legacy gifts have supported struggling communities, helpful information on how to leave a legacy to different areas of our work and how to leave a gift to the Mill Hill Missionaries.

Form of words

If you wish to remember Missio in your Will, you can leave a ‘pecuniary bequest’ (a fixed sum of money), a percentage of your estate, or a ‘residuary bequest’ (a gift in your Will of what is left of your estate after all your bequests have been made and the cost of winding up your affairs has been met). If you are going to remember Missio in your Will please use the following wording:

‘I bequeath to Missio (23 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1NU, Registered Charity Number 1056651), the sum of £….. and/or x proportion of my residuary estate; and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or National Director (for the time being) shall be a good discharge to my Executors.’

You will be remembered in prayer

We are extremely grateful to our Legacy donors.  Their names are included in our Books of Remembrance and, every November, we celebrate Mass in remembrance of, and thanksgiving for, the generous benefactors who have left a gift to Missio in their Will.
