Since the beginning of August, people around the world have been sharing their personal mission on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #MyMission #EMM2019. It’s a worldwide social media campaign to reignite our missionary spirit and share that with our sisters and brothers around the world.

On 1 October, the campaign moves from individuals to groups. Groups can share their mission on social media using the hashtags #OurMission #EMM2019.

#OurMission asks schools, organisations, orders, congregations, dioceses, parishes and communities to step up and let the world know their collective mission.

#OurMission lets your community tell the world how God calls you, like missionaries overseas, to reach out and share his love.

What is #OurMission?

#OurMission is your mission! It’s whatever Mission means to your community, group or organisation. Perhaps your contemplative order’s mission is to pray the EMM2019 prayer. Or perhaps your school’s mission is to make everyone welcome and included. Whatever your mission is, share it with others around the world and celebrate that, no matter where we are, our faith connects us as one Church family.

How do we share #OurMission?

It’s really easy!

1) Think about what you’re called to do as Christians; what your mission is.

2) Write it out clearly on the downloadable #OurMission template (see a link below).

3) Take a selfie or get a friend to snap you with your mission statement.

4) Add it to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #OurMission #EMM2019.

#OurMission lets you tell the world how God calls you, like missionaries overseas, to reach out and share his love. Whatever your mission is, let’s share it with others around the world and celebrate that, no matter where we are, our faith connects us as one Church family.

You can download a template below to use in photos and selfies, and display your personal mission today.
