‘Love without measure’

To respect ourselves is to respect our profound nature of being made to love. At a very young age, Pauline Jaricot discovered that her heart was made to love. She listened to this source in her and heard: ‘Come to the Father!’

In these nine days of prayer, let us return to the Father and rediscover our purpose and our life as missionary disciples made to love. Let us be challenged by Pauline and her words:

‘To be able to love without measure, without remorse, without interruption, without fear; this is what I was looking for’.

Prompt: What issues in the world speak to my heart? What am I drawn to?

Pauline Jaricot Prayer

God our Father,
we give thanks for your servant,
Blessed Pauline Jaricot, who,
through her commitment to the Gospel
and passion for mission,
began the work of Missio.

Despite carrying many crosses,
she never closed her heart
to the needs of the poor.

Following the example of your Son,
fortified by a life of prayer
and nourished by the Eucharist,
she helped to build your Kingdom
of justice and mercy.

May we, like Blessed Pauline, share our faith humbly and charitably,
and through prayer and action,
work together to make your love known
to all of creation.

Grant through her intercession
the favour I now ask of you…
(here make your petition). Amen.

Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.
