In May, we pray for those training for the Religious life and for the Priesthood. May they grow to be credible witnesses of the Gospel through the human, pastoral, spiritual, and community formation they receive.
‘Do not be afraid of holiness. It will take away none of your energy, vitality, or joy. On the contrary, you will become what the Father had in mind when he created you, and you will be faithful to your deepest self. To depend on God sets us free from every form of enslavement and leads us to recognise our great dignity.’

Our Focus for May
- Missio believes no vocation to the Priesthood should be turned away through lack of funds. That’s why the Holy Father asks us to channel help from our supporters in England and Wales to our Church overseas. Could you, your family, or your parish help realise a vocation in a mission diocese? Click here to join our sponsorship programme>>
- 9 May is the Solemnity of the Ascension, when Jesus instructed his disciples to ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News’. Look out for stories, news and more on our website and social platforms from Missio and the Mill Hill Missionaries, and find out how you can help us proclaim the Good News to the ends of the earth!
- May is the month of Mary. What better time to join our weekly online Mission Rosary? Follow our social media platforms, or click here each Monday to pray this beautiful prayer to Mary, and ask for her intercession for our world>>
- 20 – 26 May is Catholic Legacy Week. Writing a Will is a very personal thing. It can also be the time when we consider our own personal legacy; the impact for good our life has made and how we might be remembered by future generations.
