There are lots of different ways to become involved as a volunteer, and you can choose depending on how much time you have and what your calling is. At every level, we will always support and guide you, and be there to answer any questions.

Missio Appealer 

As a trained appealer, you’ll make appeals for new members in parishes within your diocese, explaining the relationship between the APF, Missio and Mill Hill, and promoting our fundraising.

Local Secretary 

Join the network of around 2,500 Red Box Local Secretaries and Treasurers, coordinating the collection and banking of Red Box money, organising the distribution of Mission Today, representing Missio in your parish. 

Missio Promoter

Visiting parishioners to empty their Red Boxes and take them copies of the Mission Today magazine.

Schools Volunteer 

Support our children’s charity, Mission Together, in local schools by giving assemblies in primary schools in your diocese.

Raise money 

Help to organise a mission evening or fundraising event (a coffee morning, a crazy hair day, a sponsored challenge… whatever inspires you!) in your area. Grab your friends and family and raise money for Missio!

Appeal promoter 

Help out with an appeal in your area by handing out magazines, signing up Red Box holders, members or other volunteers.

Parish group leader 

Organise a group from your parish to attend Mission Masses in your area, pray for mission and fundraise together for Missio.

Prayer Promoter

Help to promote prayer in your parish, community and diocese. There are so many ways to pray! Click here for some inspiration.

Be a missionary from your mobile!

If you don’t have much time to spare, spreading the word online for us is a great way to volunteer. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, share our posts with your online network. It’s that simple – spreading Missio’s message is vital for furthering God’s mission!
