In September, we pray with Pope Francis for people living on the margins of society, in inhumane conditions; may they not be overlooked by institutions and may they never be considered of lesser importance.

‘Serving the poor effectively moves us into action and makes it possible to find the most suitable ways of raising and promoting this part of humanity that all too often is anonymous and voiceless.’

Pope Francis

Our focus for September

  • It’s back to school this month! Little Way Week, from Monday 25 September, is a beautiful way for children to connect with world mission and learn that through small, loving actions we too can deliver God’s love to the world. Find resources for Little Way Week here>>
  • September begins with the World Day of Prayer for Creation. We hold our precious planet and its survival in our prayers, along with praying for the strength to be good stewards to our home. Find ways to pray for the environment on our Prayers for the World page. Read stories of missionaries inspired by Laudato Si’ here>>
  • The Holy Father is visiting Mongolia in the early days of September. Read about the world’s youngest Church here>>
