In January, we pray that the Holy Spirit may help us to recognise the gift of different charisms within the Christian community, and to discover the richness of the different rites within the Catholic Church.

There are many different gifts, but it is always the same Spirit; there are many different ways of serving, but it is always the same Lord. There are many different forms of activity, but in everybody it is the same God who is at work in them all.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-6

Our Focus for January

It’s the start of a new year – for many of us it’s a time of hope as we look forward to new opportunities, projects, and adventures. If you’re thinking of getting out and about, moving more,  or doing good in the world during 2024, we have some suggestions that might help:

  • Walking together is one great way to connect with others and with your faith. We’ve put together a selection of pilgrimages across England & Wales, so you can start 2024 by putting your feet where your faith is. If you want to use your pilgrimage as an opportunity to ignite God’s love for our sisters and brothers around the world, you can also fundraise with your pilgrimage. • Fundraising brings groups, families, and communities together, and is a great way to have fun while helping our sisters and brothers around the world. Find our new, free downloadable fundraising pack, and everything you need to host a brilliant event here>>
  • Of course, many of our sisters and brothers around the world are beginning 2024 in a state of fear, loneliness, poverty or violence. Please join us bring our hearts and our prayers close to all who are in need of Mary’s intercession. Join us during 2024 on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram each week to pray the Mission Rosary for our world and our global family.
