Dear friends, volunteers, and supporters of Missio,

I’ve just celebrated Mass and as usual, on a daily basis, we are praying for you at this very special time. Last Sunday was Gaudete Sunday reminding us of the joy that is to come, and has come, in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.

So, I would like to thank all of you for all your support, which makes the work we are doing possible. Without you, we cannot do it. And I know God will reward you and bless you for all that you do with us and for the future of the Church – that all people will know the joy of the Gospel, the joy of knowing that God is truly with us, in spite of all the problems that we face, both personally and in our world.

On Christmas Eve, the Holy Father will open the Jubilee Year of Hope and if ever we needed hope, it is now. The hope that we have is a promise from God that if we stick with him, stay with him and follow his ways, the world will find peace and justice and that’s what we have to work towards. That’s what Missio works towards, that’s what you – as our supporters and volunteers are bringing about.

May God’s kingdom come and may God bless you, your families, and friends this Christmas. And may the next year be a wonderful year for you all, blessed with hope and joy. Amen.

Turn fear into hope this Christmas

This Christmas, we can help Fr Léon, and so many more missionaries like him, as they care for our sisters and brothers in troubled regions. Your prayers and donations offer encouragement and create safe spaces for displaced children to learn, grow in faith, and choose paths of peace.
