Each year our children’s branch, Mission Together, encourages schools to host a Day of Many Colours (DOMC). This special day of celebration aims to develop children’s missionary spirit of attention towards others through prayer, charity, and action. It also provides a joyful opportunity for children to celebrate their special place within God’s universal family.
You inspired us!
We know teachers and schools always have significant demands on their time and resources. So it’s always inspiring for us to see schools across England and Wales continue to support our Day of Many Colours (DOMC).
Many of you posted tweets from your day, sharing news of special Liturgical Prayers, DOMC learning activities, fun celebrations, and fundraising efforts.
In Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Primary School, Durham, pupils laid out a giant Mission Rosary on the school hall floor, whilst others gave a rousing rendition of He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, as pupils prayed for their brothers and sisters around the world. We loved your creativity and your fantastic singing!
At Sacred Heart Primary School, Birmingham, pupils raised a fantastic £180 to buy their own Mission Rosaries so they could pray for children on every continent during their DOMC. What a wonderful way to connect with our global family – we are so touched by your hearts of faith!
And in St Paulinus Primary School, Cleveland, pupils used our Mission Together Virtual Map to learn about children around the world who also pray and share to help others through Mission Together. They also brought a creative and colourful flair to the day with some fantastic artwork. We love that you took the time to learn and pray about God’s global family!

We’re very grateful to all who support our DOMC. All the money you raise for Mission Together goes to Missio’s overseas children’s projects.
That means your prayers and donations go to the 20,000 plus children we help around the world, offering a safe place to live, nourishing food, opportunities to learn, vital medical care and so much more. And your prayers let them know they’re not alone – that there are always people who care about them.
